While PHILRADS Team was in Bataan for the distribution of Christmas Parcels, we received the new about Typhoon Odette and we have started monitoring the movement of typhoon while it was outside PAR (Philippine Area of Responsibility). Social media platforms and text messages were utilized to ensure that we get the real time updates from our church partners on the ground and LGUs on the ground. PHILRADS sending a team to the affected areas to conduct a rapid needs assessment to analyze the extent of damage. The team is leaving tomorrow going to Surigao. As some flights were suspended, our team will travel via North Harbor and they will be accompanied by the Philippine Coast Guard.
